  • Set Goals- Make sure it is something realistic.  Some people quit working out or exercising when they do not see the results right away.
  • Track your progress – If you see small improvements each time, then you will know that you are on the right track and keep going.
  • Just have fun and stop being perfect – If things do not go as they seem, don’t sweat it.  Don’t just stop working out just because you miss a day or two in your workout routine or program.  If you are new to exercise, keep in mind that your body resistance will also be lowered and may get sick. Recharge yourself with fluids and healthy foods.
  • Stop comparing yourself to Others – We all want to achieve the perfect gym fit body athletes or models might have.  But each person has a different body type.  Don’t let them discourage you from reaching your goal or overdo your workout routine.
  • Get support – You can find a gym buddy or simply consult with a fitness trainer to work with you and track your progress.  Having a fitness trainer maximizes your workout routines.
  • Choose what you like – Try out different exercise activities and focus on the one you like best.  Make exercise a fun routine for you.
  • Don’t overwhelm yourself – If your exercise routine is too daunting for you, split it up into 2 or 3 sessions.  Overwhelming routines can tire and burn you out quickly and stop you eventually from doing exercises.
  • Remove obstacles – Make exercise convenient for you.  Choose a location that you normally pass by either near your house or places you hangout so you do not have an excuse.  If you can’t go to the gym, have Fitness videos in your home so you can still do some of your exercise routines.
  • Past is the past – If you had bad experiences, move on and don’t let it stop you.
  • Give yourself a reward – Probably one of the most important tips to stay motivated.  Treat yourself to some of the foods you enjoy in moderation as a reward for your continuous exercise efforts.
